Volunteer: Choose Your Activity/Project
We’re pleased to say that 1891 Financial Life’s members volunteer more than 54,000 hours of service each year, and our charitable contributions for various programs amount to more than $13 million (as of Dec. 2020). A reason for this success is the flexibility and variety we offer members, who can choose the activity or project for which they have a real passion or affinity. By assisting a person, cause, or community in need means our volunteers aren’t only members, they’re local heroes as well. You can choose to create a pop-up event or raise funds for a local business/parish/person in need. Invite others to help, such as people in your community, family, and friends. Raise funds for charities and projects like:
- Local Food Banks
- Homeless and Women’s Shelters
- Community Clean-up
- Community Food Gardens
Any place you see a need and that can use your help goes a long way to help the collective community.

Over the years, our organization has been as much about philanthropy as it is about protection. Through grants, scholarships, charitable programs, and volunteerism at the local and national level, we’ve expanded support to communities even as we’ve empowered people to offer that support in a hands-on, tangible manner that truly feeds the soul.
