Our diet tends to be too high in added sugar, saturated fat, sodium, and calories. Too much over time can have negative effects on your health.
Serotonin – a chemical nerve cells produce in your gastrointestinal tract. This chemical is responsible for reducing depression and regulating anxiety, among many other functions. Poor diet is often associated with elevated incidents of depression.
A poor diet can also cause diabetes, obesity, stroke, heart disease, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s Disease, and cancer.
You can treat yourself and have that ice cream, just a smaller portion. All things in moderation.
All good diets have key components:
Keep vegetables as your main ingredient when cooking. Your plate should be filled with at least half vegetables at every meal.
A small change can help improve your health. Once you get used to one small change, challenge yourself to another one.
